Joyce got her allotment around late July/early August 2021. Her first priorities when she joined were to install her raised beds to make things easier to handle, as she has mobility difficulties.

Joyce’s favourite thing about having an allotment is having her own garden space where she can come to sit, grow, and enjoy. She often brings her lovely dog, Olly, to the allotment with her. Olly’s favourite thing about having an allotment is that there are cats here!

Before she joined Mansewood, Joyce had been growing in window boxes on her balcony. Now that she has her plot she is most looking forward to growing tomatoes, broccoli, and a few flowers.
