This week saw the delivery of six trough planters (made by Glasgow Wood Recycling) which will be used in a new accessible growing area at Mansewood Allotments. This space has been created as part of our expansion project, which has added 18 new plots to the site. The expansion is part of Glasgow City Council’s initiative to meet the huge demand for growing spaces, which is a requirement of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act.
We are keen to see this space flourish, and are currently investigating local community projects or charities who may be interested in taking ownership of the plot. If you know of a group who may be up to the task please get in touch!
